In 1991 Nico Katan, the managing director of Equitector Ltd created a range of riding boots that perform at the highest level. Nico felt that many boots on the market failed to live up to expectations and strived to create a product that was “more than just a boot”.
“For many years I witnessed my fellow riders being trodden on by horses and this prompted me in 1991 to design riding boots with toe protection.
As a horse rider and safety footwear manufacture, it enabled me to combine both my equestrian and professional know how.
I aimed to design the safest and most comfortable riding boots and a result our safety record is unblemished.
Innovative features have been added over the years making our boots the most technological advanced boots available on the market.
While most manufactures have transferred production outside of the UK, Equitector continues to be produced in the U.K. by a small army of highly skilled craftsmen.
